Friends forever
June 2nd 2009 06:04
Oh, if you loved this post you've just got to read this article!
I laughed with horror as I read it! I feel like writing a horror story about a friend like that! Friend or Fiend!?
On to a more serious note now.
There are so many different kinds of friends. I know I am never going to have another best friend like Wendy. Wendy and I met when we were twelve. She was a shy girl who loved horses, I was a shy girl who's Dad was a horse trainer.
We talked, brushed horses and discovered boys. She was gorgeous but had low, low self-esteem, I was plain with slightly more self-esteem. We got on so well, we vowed to be friends forever in a little ceremony on her street.
We finished school, started work, had boyfriends, moved away, got married, but whenever we met up again, it was just like we were kids together again. Then Wendy died, in a tragic accident. Since then I think I'm a little scared to really commit to a best friend as close as Wendy was, just in case they die too.
Wendy knew things about me that no-one else knew, things I don't think I can ever really tell anyone else about. My secrets are safe, but I wish I still had Wendy to share them with.
Wendy and I will always be best friends.

To them, it doesn't matter who I am going out with or what I do for a living. That is what friends really are.
