Keep your Loved Ones Safe

If you have a swimming pool, what is one thing you should do to keep your loved ones safe? By loved ones, I mean your children and your pets, and your small relatives. Children flock to a swimming pool and you can all have many joyful hours playing with them in the cooling water.
But the fun times end with summer, and the pool just sits there, unused for months on end. Small children, and small pets, particularly dogs though remember the fun times and don’t agree that the fun times have to end, and they will sometimes try to have a swim when no-one else is there to tell them not to.
There are lots of things you need to do for winter maintenance if you have a swimming pool whether in ground or above ground. Installing a safety pool cover should be a part of that winter maintenance.
The consequences otherwise can be terrible. There is nothing in the world more awful than the death of your beloved child, and the realisation that the death is preventable and partly your fault could be impossible to live with.
So what should you do so that this never happens to you? Get your pool a cover, that's what you should do. Safety Pool Covers - If our pool had a cover back when our naughty litter of schnauzer puppies snuck through a hole in the fence, little Octopussy would be alive. She was a gorgeous little puppy, just 8 weeks old but showing all the qualities of a potential show champion.
Some inattention from the people in her family, and she was in the pool and gone from our lives. A pool cover would have saved her life. It’s as simple as that. I shudder to think of it being my son instead of a puppy. I love our dogs, but they are nothing compared to my own child. I would lose most of my reason for living if I lost my son.
Our son is old enough not to need the safety of a pool cover now – he’s a much better swimmer than me, but I know that a safety pool cover is still an excellent thing to have to keep your pool safe. If you have a pool, you need a safety pool cover.
