Well now that we have a kitchen to love and cherish, that I have written about, on my other Orble blog and talked about in person, people keep telling me I need to start on the rest of the house. The bathroom has been mentioned. Bathrooms are not an important room to me. As long as there’s enough hot water for a bath, and cold water to use to brush my teeth, that’s enough.
But I have seen some fascinating bathroom things, bathroom vanities and bathroom fixtures for instance.
I think if my husband sees these steam units, he might make an executive decision on the whole matter. He loves to get all steamed up and sweaty. I might have to keep this information hidden from him.
I’m not sure I agree with the people who think I won’t be satisfied with only getting the kitchen done, and leaving the rest of the house as it is. I’d rather just love the kitchen and put up with the rest of the house. We are never going to win a ‘lovely home’ prize, but the place is liveable. Just untidy and dustier than is ideal.
The bathroom things are all at this website, and even if I don’t decide to ‘do’ the bathroom it gives me something to think about. At the moment, I’m happy enough with what we have, but, you just never know…
I’m an untidy person, I promised to love and honour my husband, I never made any promises to keep a tidy house. I have noticed I am being tidier than I used to, so maybe the nice kitchen will lead to something better for the rest of the house. But I think, for now, I’ll just revel in my beautiful new kitchen and leave the bathroom and the rest for another time.
