Stepping out into the WWW
July 20th 2009 23:00
I’m interested it finding out as much as I can about how the internet works, and what it can do for me. I also want to make my time on the internet safe, fun and effective.
With this in mind, I am happy to have a look at sites that can tell me about bug tracking, and issue tracking. I am also happy to find wiki software which makes it easier for me to do what I want/have to do.
Because I am new to all of these sorts of things, I am happy to rely on sites that can show me what they have available, and show me how their stuff can assist me. The idea of having bugs tracked, and issues tracked is heartening, and if I can benefit from software, so much the better.
With wiki software you can collaborate online, share and edit content, and do whole lot more than that, either on your own , or with a host of others. The benefits are immense when many people can give their input into things, and the wiki software helps keep it all organised.
Wiki software is great with getting input from many stakeholders, which can lead to a better result. Everyone who is affected knows what is going on, everyone gets a chance to add their bit.
I'm not sure how I can benefit from this, but I am sure if I spend some more time looking into it I'll see a host of ways. With websites there to help us muddle out way through, who knows what we can do?!
